Congresswoman Brown Announces 2025 Congressional Art Competition Winners

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) announced the winners of the 2025 OH-11 Congressional Art Competition. Reyna Verma of Hathaway Brown School won first prize for her print artwork titled “Me and Mama” Verma’s entry will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year, where visitors from across the country can admire her creativity and talent. Anthony J. Stanley of Saint Ignatius High School and Gabrielle Wallace of Bedford High School placed second and third, respectively.
“Congratulations to this year’s winners and to all the talented students who participated in the 2025 Congressional Art Competition,” said Congresswoman Shontel Brown. “I am so proud of Reyna Verma’s heartfelt print, which captures the deep and unspoken bond between a mother and daughter. It reminded me of my own relationship with my mom and the strength and love she always has shown me. This competition continues to highlight the extraordinary artistic talent in Northeast Ohio. Thank you to all the educators and family members who supported and encouraged these young artists.”

- 3rd Place: Gabrielle Wallace, Bedford High School, “Self Portrait”
The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide visual art competition for high school students. Each winning entry from every congressional district is displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
