SBA Announces T.H.R.I.V.E. Executive Level Free Training Program in Cleveland and Toledo
Attention Northeast Ohio Business Leaders:
The U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) T.H.R.I.V.E. (Train, Hope, Rise, Innovate, Venture, Elevate) executive-level training program for small business owners will be held in both Cleveland and in Toledo. Applications are open and local business owners and executives are encouraged to apply.
Since it's launch in 2008, SBA’s Emerging Leaders has trained more than 8,000 small business owners, creating over 11,000 jobs, generating nearly $1 billion in new financing, and securing over $4 billion in government contracts.
The program is free and begins in June 2024. The deadline to apply is April 28.
There is no direct cost, but participants must invest their time and commitment to complete all training sessions over the six months. The course format is Online + In-person sessions. Classes will be in 2 separate locations - Cleveland and Toledo.
SBA’s T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined advanced training series is open to small business owners and executives that:
- Have annual revenues of at least $250,000
- Have been in business for at least three years
- Have at least one employee, other than self

According to the SBA, the T.H.R.I.V.E. program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, support, and networking opportunities to propel their business forward. Through a combination of an online curriculum, in-person sessions, office hours with subject matter experts (SMEs), one-on-one business coaching, surge sessions, and the development of a strategic growth plan, T.H.R.I.V.E. participants will embark on a transformative journey that will empower them to take their business to new heights.
