Appropriations Requests

Fiscal Year 2026 Appropriations Requests

Each year through the appropriations process, Congress allocates money for offices, programs, and grants administered by the federal government. As a Member of Congress, Congresswoman Brown advocates for priorities and programs that benefit Ohio's Eleventh District through the appropriations process.

In recent years, Members of Congress have been able to submit Community Project Funding requests, or requests for funding directed toward specific projects in their communities.

For Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25), Congresswoman Brown put forth 15 Community Projects, which can be viewed here . Unfortunately, these projects were not included in the FY25 funding bill because Republicans passed a continuing resolution that included no requests for Community Project Funding.

Therefore, Congresswoman Brown will be resubmitting all projects she submitted for FY25 in her FY26 Community Project submissions, and she will not be soliciting additional new projects this fiscal year.

She will still accept general programmatic and language request submissions for FY26.

General Programmatic and Language Requests

Programmatic requests are requests for Congress to fund a federal program at a specific level or to include language directing a federal agency to implement a program in a specific way.

The deadline to submit a request is 11:59 PM EST on Friday, April 18, 2025

Community Project Funding

Community Project Funding (CPF) is an initiative started in FY22 that allows Members of Congress to request direct funding for projects that benefit the communities they represent.

Congresswoman Brown will not be taking new community project submissions for FY26. Instead, she will resubmit her FY25 submissions that were stripped out of the most recent spending bill.

Per Committee Rules, each House member is able to submit up to 15 projects to the Appropriations Committee for consideration. Congresswoman Brown's submissions will be posted on the website on May 23rd.
