Appropriations Requests

Fiscal Year 2027 Appropriations Requests

Each year through the appropriations process, Congress allocates money for offices, programs, and grants administered by the federal government. As a Member of Congress, Congresswoman Brown advocates for priorities and programs that benefit Ohio's Eleventh District through the appropriations process.

Community Project Funding (CPF) is an initiative started in FY22 that allows Members of Congress to request direct funding for projects that benefit the communities they represent.

For Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27), Congresswoman Brown will put forth 20 Community Projects.

She will also accept general programmatic and language request submissions for FY27.

Community Project Funding

Community Project Funding (CPF) is an initiative started in FY22 that allows Members of Congress to request direct funding for projects that benefit the communities they represent.

Community Project Funding will be governed by strict requirements to promote transparency and prevent waste, fraud, and abuse. Notably, only non-profit organizations, state, local, tribal, and territorial governments may apply for CPF; however, eligibility varies by subcommittee and account. In addition, only projects with demonstrated community support will be considered (entities may submit additional documentation to show support).

Please note that only one-year funding requests will be considered, and state and local matching requirements will not be waived for projects that would otherwise have such requirements.

The deadline to submit a request is 11:59 PM EST on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Per Committee Rules, each House member is able to submit up to 20 projects to the Appropriations Committee for consideration. Congresswoman Brown's submissions will be posted on the website on March 27th.
