Israel – U.S. Relations
Israel is a key democratic ally of the United States, and our nation has long committed to promoting its security and prosperity. I believe in deepening our diplomatic, economic, and military cooperation with Israel to not only ensure its people can live freely and in peace, but also to maintain our security. Congress must remain committed to our strong and enduring partnership with the State of Israel based on our common democratic interests and shared values.
It is crucial to support diplomatic efforts to bring peace and prosperity to the region. Enacted in law in the 117th Congress, I cosponsored legislation including the Israel Relations Normalization Act, which requires the Department of State to strengthen and expand the historic normalization agreements between Israel and its neighbors.
Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party
Building the strength and resilience of the American economy is a top priority across party lines. As a member of the Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party in the 118th Congress, I look forward to engaging in bipartisan collaboration to advance our economic interests and address issues pertaining to global security.
I remain optimistic that we will reach common-sense, bipartisan solutions to prioritize America’s global competitiveness while actively fighting against dangerous rhetoric that could lead to irreparable harm to our Asian American communities.
War in Ukraine
We continue to be deeply troubled by Russia’s unprovoked, unlawful war against the sovereign state of Ukraine, and admire the Ukranian peoples’ inspiring courage and determination in the face of untold pain and suffering. It is imperative that the United States continue to stand with and wholeheartedly support the Ukranian people and President Zelenskyy bravely for freedom and democracy.
