Ag Vice Ranking Member Brown Blasts Backroom Deal to Block Year-round E15

Washington, DC – Today, House Committee on Agriculture Vice Ranking Member Congresswoman Shontel Brown criticized House Republicans for cutting a deal that strips year-round E15 from must-pass spending legislation and instead creates a task force to study the issue.
“This is shameful backroom dealing – plain and simple. Instead of acting on year-round E15, House Republicans punted on the issue and created a meaningless task force to study the issue. Midwest farmers don’t need another study or a new task force, and American families don’t need more delays while they pay higher prices at the pump. Farmers need market certainty and families need lower energy costs. Year-round E15 delivers both, and Congress should pass it now,” said Vice Ranking Member Brown.
