Rep. Brown Announces 2023 Congressional Art Competition

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Shontel Brown (OH-11) announced the beginning of the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for Ohio’s Eleventh Congressional District.
“The annual Congressional Art Competition is a tradition that helps recognize and showcase the incredible local artistic talent in Northeast Ohio and across the country, said Rep. Brown. “It will be thrilling to see all of the outstanding entries this year that will represent the trademark artistry of Northeast Ohio. Let your imagination soar!”
Background:
Every year, the Congressional Institute organizes the Congressional Art Competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent within each congressional district. Since its inception in 1982, over 650,000 high school students have participated in the Artistic Discovery competition. The Competition is open to all high school students living in the Eleventh Congressional District of Ohio.
Students residing in OH-11 who wish to participate will be required to submit their entries to the Office of Congresswoman Brown using this form. Winners from each district will be honored at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., as well as in their home districts. The winning art pieces will be displayed inside the U.S. Capitol for one year for all Members, staff, and visitors to view and admire.
The deadline for the 2023 Congressional Art Competition is Friday, April 28, 2023, at close of business.
