Rep. Brown Statement on University Hospitals Bedford and Richmond Heights Medical Centers Closing

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS – Today, Rep. Shontel Brown (OH-11) issued the following statement about the closing and elimination of medical emergency services at University Hospitals Bedford and Richmond Heights Medical Centers:

"We know that access to immediate, safe, quality healthcare is essential to reversing generations of health inequities that have punished marginalized and low-income communities for years," said Rep. Shontel Brown. "Like many in the Bedford and Richmond Heights areas, I am concerned by the closing and elimination of emergency services provided by University Hospitals. I will continue to monitor the situation closely and remain committed to working with University Hospitals' leadership to identify accessible and affordable healthcare alternatives for our community."
