Brown Votes to End Trump’s War with Iran

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) voted for a War Powers Resolution to end Trump’s War with Iran. This is Congresswoman Brown’s second vote to end the war, following an earlier vote in March. In January, Brown also voted against funding Trump’s Department of War, citing Trump’s military escalations.  

Congresswoman Brown releases the following statement:  

“Trump’s war with Iran is reckless, illegal, and unwise. We still don’t know what Trump is trying to accomplish or how he’s going to get there – and the truth is Trump doesn’t know either. Trump and Hegseth’s war is a complete disaster for the United States and the world. Gas, diesel, fertilizer, and food are all more expensive and the world is more dangerous – and Republicans have decided to whistle past the graveyard. It’s time to permanently end this war.”
