Congresswoman Brown Statement on Attack at the Capital Jewish Museum

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) issues the following statement on the deadly attack at the Capital Jewish Museum:
“I am horrified by the killing of two Israeli embassy staff outside the Capital Jewish Museum. This appalling act of antisemitic violence is another painful reminder of the fear so many in the Jewish community live with every day.
“That fear isn’t abstract—it’s real. It shows up in bomb threats at synagogues in Northeast Ohio, in graffiti scrawled across Jewish community centers in New York, and in the memory of the deadly shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. These aren’t isolated events—they’re part of a growing pattern of hate.
“This kind of violence and hatred has no place in America. It must be confronted and stopped by all of us—across every faith, race, and background.
“My heart is with the families of those killed and everyone affected by this terrible attack. In this time of grief and fear, our community and our country must stand with the Jewish community.”
