Rep. Brown Announces Appointment to Four Key Subcommittees

WASHINGTON –Today, Congresswoman Shontel M. Brown (OH-11) announced she has been appointed to four subcommittees under the House Agriculture Committee and the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. The full list of the Congresswoman’s subcommittee assignments includes:

House Agriculture Committee

• Subcommittee on Nutrition, Oversight, and Department Operations
• Subcommittee on Biotechnology, Horticulture, and Research

House Committee on Oversight and Reform

• Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy
• Subcommittee on Government Operations

“I am honored to serve on subcommittees that cover a range of important issues and have a direct impact on Northeast Ohio’s communities,” said Rep. Brown. “From addressing persistent food insecurity to supporting urban agriculture initiatives, I am committed to building safe and affordable food systems through the Agriculture Committee. Meanwhile, on the Committee on Oversight and Reform, I intend to use my voice to promote the financial security of families and ensure the government is working for all people. I look forward to working with my colleagues on these critical subcommittees to fight for families in my district.”

On December 1, Rep. Brown was appointed to serve on the House Agriculture Committee and the House Committee on Oversight and Reform after her nominations were approved by the full Democratic Caucus.
