January 7, 2023

WASHINGTON, D.C.  Today, Rep. Shontel Brown (OH-11) issued the following statement after being sworn in as a member of the U. S. House of Representatives for the 118th Congress, representing Ohio’s Eleventh Congressional District.

To represent the people of Ohio’s Eleventh Congressional District is the honor of a lifetime, and I am proud to continue the fight for our residents, communities, and all our most precious resources,” said Rep. Shontel Brown. “In the 118th Congress, I will work to build on the progress achieved during the 117th Congress, including accelerating Ohio’s economic recovery, supporting working-class families, advocating for our veterans and servicemembers, and protecting our most vulnerable communities. The values of the people of Ohio’s Eleventh District are with me each day, and I will continue to lift their voices in service to them.”

“As Democrats move into the minority, my deep commitment to working across party lines to safeguard the important work we’ve achieved is more important than ever. I will do everything in my power to continue to deliver meaningful, tangible results for the people of Northeast Ohio.”

In the 118th Congress, Ohio’s Eleventh District has been updated to include the City of Cleveland’s west side, and the Cities of Chagrin Falls, Gates Mills, Highland Heights, Hunting Valley, Lakewood, Lyndhurst, Mayfield Heights, Mayfield Village, and Moreland Hills. Information on how redistricting impacted Ohio’s 11th District is available HERE.
