Statement from Congresswoman Shontel Brown on President Joe Biden

WASHINGTON, DC– Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) releases the following statement on President Biden’s address to the nation:

“President Joe Biden is one of the most consequential leaders in American history and one of our nation’s best Presidents. President Biden has always put the country first – his presidency has been about service from day one. 

“As President Biden mentioned tonight, when he took office, we were in the depths of a pandemic and our Capitol and Congress had just been attacked. President Biden restored decency and democracy to the White House. 

“It has been a profound honor to partner with the Biden-Harris Administration on so many issues and I know that will continue. President Biden has our back in Northeast Ohio, from launching the biggest infrastructure projects to making sure that our seniors can afford insulin and veterans can pay their bills.  

“Thanks to President Biden and the work of Democrats in Congress, we have restored American leadership in the world, strengthened our economy and passed transformative legislation to rebuild our infrastructure, lower health care and energy costs, and expand benefits for veterans. And more than anyone else, President Biden understands that the work of this term is not done – and I will be right there with him.
