Washington, DC – Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) has voted for the Social Security Fairness Act (H.R. 82), bipartisan legislation to repeal the Windfall Elimination Provision and the Government Pension Offset, which unfairly reduce the Social Security benefits of many retired public employees who also worked other jobs during their lifetime.

CLEVELAND, OH – Wednesday is the one-year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, which Congresswoman Shontel Brown voted for and which was signed into law by President Biden on August 16, 2022.
On Wednesday August 16, 2023, Congresswoman Brown hosted a webinar and roundtable discussion to highlight new programs and benefits for seniors under the law. Under the Inflation Reduction Act, many seniors are now eligible for free recommended vaccines, a $35 per month cap on Medicare-covered insulin, and other changes.
