Brown Votes to End Trump’s War with Iran for Third Time

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) voted for a War Powers Resolution to end Trump’s War with Iran. This is the third time Brown has voted to end Trump’s disastrous and illegal war with Iran, following votes in April and March. In January, Brown also voted against funding Trump’s Department of War, pointing to Trump’s dangerous military escalations.

“Trump’s war with Iran has been an economic, constitutional, and geopolitical disaster. Trump doesn’t care about the higher prices his war caused, never told the country what this war was about, and never had constitutional authority to start this war in the first place. The American people have never supported this war and it’s time to end it immediately. It is appalling that Republicans in Congress see this complete calamity and just shrug their shoulders to keep Trump happy. It’s time for Republicans in Congress to grow a spine and join Democrats to end this disastrous war.”
