Congresswoman Brown Announces 2024 OH-11 Congressional Art Competition

Submission deadline is April 5, 2024
Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) is now accepting submissions for the 2024 OH-11 Congressional Art Competition. The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students living in the Eleventh Congressional District of Ohio. Winners from each district will be honored at an annual awards ceremony in Washington. The winning art pieces will be displayed inside the U.S. Capitol for one year for all Members, staff, and visitors to view and admire.
“Young people in Northeast Ohio have so much artistic talent and the OH-11 Congressional Art Competition is all about celebrating that talent and showing it off on a national stage” said Congresswoman Shontel Brown. “I encourage students from every neighborhood in our district to participate and I cannot wait to see what they produce.”
Students must submit their entry and relevant information via the Art Competition page on Congresswoman Brown’s website by 5:00 PM on April 5, 2024. The winning entry for 2023 was “Afternoon Sip” by Elijah Reese of Cleveland Central Catholic High School.Every year, the Congressional Institute organizes the Congressional Art Competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent within each congressional district. Since its inception in 1982, over 650,000 high school students have participated in the Artistic Discovery competition.
