Washington, DC – Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered the Department of Defense (DOD) to terminate all collective bargaining agreements between DOD and the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE). This brazen attack on workers’ rights and federal workers will impact over 300,000 DOD employees nationwide, including thousands of Defense Finance and Accounting Service workers in the Cleveland-area.

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) is an original cosponsor of legislation establishing a Commission on Presidential Capacity to Discharge the Powers and Duties of Office, the body and process called for in Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution to enable Congress to ensure effective and uninterrupted leadership in the presidency. This body is the legislative counterpart to the Cabinet and would have the power to work with the Vice President.

Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) hosted a Vietnam Veterans Pinning Ceremony on Wednesday at Tri C Corporate College in Warrensville Heights. At the event, over 40 local Vietnam Veterans were recognized for their service and presented with a lapel pin issued by the U.S. Vietnam Veteran Commemoration thanking them for their service.
