Washington, DC – Today, the House of Representatives passed Congresswoman Shontel Brown’s bipartisan SAMOSA Act, legislation to lower federal software costs and improve efficiency. The legislation was approved unanimously on the House floor after passing the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, earlier this month. The legislation now heads to the Senate.

Washington, DC — Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) voted for legislation to force President Trump to release the Epstein Files. The Epstein Files Transparency Act (H.R. 4405) requires the Department of Justice to publish, in a searchable format, all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials in DOJ’s possession related to the investigation and prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein. The legislation includes measures to protect the privacy of survivors and ensure their personal information is redacted.

Washington, DC — Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) voted against the government funding bill brought to the floor by Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson on Wednesday. The bill funds the government through January 30, 2026, with no legislative action to extend Affordable Care Act Enhanced Premium Tax Credits, before those credits expire at the end of the year. Last night, the Republican-led House Rules Committee rejected a Democratic amendment to extend ACA tax credits for three years.
