Washington, DC – Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) has voted for the Social Security Fairness Act (H.R. 82), bipartisan legislation to repeal the Windfall Elimination Provision and the Government Pension Offset, which unfairly reduce the Social Security benefits of many retired public employees who also worked other jobs during their lifetime.  

Cleveland, OH – Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) is excited to announce that the May Dugan Center has been awarded $500,000. The funding, secured through Congresswoman Brown’s Community Project Funding (CPF) request, was signed into law in March 2024 and will enable the expansion and renovation of the center’s facilities, allowing it to expand its essential programming for Cleveland’s communities.

Lakewood, OH – Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) proudly announces that the City of Lakewood has received $959,752 in federal funding for its Storm and Wastewater Pollution Prevention Project, a key component of the Clean Water Lakewood Initiative. The funding secured through the Congresswoman’s Community Project Funding (CPF) request signed into law in March 2024, and will support the construction of sewer and water infrastructure improvements in Lakewood. 

Cleveland OH – Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) proudly announces that the City of Cleveland has received $59.7 million in federal funding for the North Coast Connector thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The North Coast Connector is a major infrastructure project transforming sections of State Route 3 into a pedestrian-friendly boulevard, connecting downtown Cleveland to the lakefront.

Maple Heights, OH – On Thursday, Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) presented Maple Heights Mayor Annette Blackwell and members of the Maple Heights Police Department with a check to recognize the recent federal grant awarded to the city. Meeting at the Maple Heights Police Department, Congresswoman Brown also spoke with Mayor Blackwell and the officers about their work to promote public safety in Maple Heights and support a diverse and engaged police force.
