Attention Ohioans - please be aware of upcoming Ohio voter registration deadlines.

Under Ohio law, inactive voters will be removed from voter registration lists later this month. Registered voters who have no voter history in the past four years or have submitted a change of address form with the USPS and are no longer eligible to vote at their former address are subject to removal.

On June 27, 2024, Congresswoman Shontel Brown hosted a briefing and panel discussion on the impact and influence of Black Music in the United States. 

The event was titled "Harmonies of Heritage: Exploring the Influence of Black Music" and featured insights and perspective from Black music experts. Congresswoman Brown is the author of a House Resolution to recognize June as Black Music Month

On September 28, 2023, Congresswoman Shontel Brown (OH-11) wrote to President Biden asking that he recognize the contributions of Rev. Dr. Otis Moss, Jr. with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. 

Congresswoman Brown concluded her letter by writing, "He is a trailblazer who helped spur all of us to live up to the promise of our country's founding and evolving principles. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is a fitting tribute to Rev. Dr. Moss's life of faithful service and hopeful influence."
